The St Catherine North CIB arrested and charged recording artiste Marlon Plunkett, 45, popularly known as ‘Kiprich’, who is of a Kingston 5 address, on Monday, February 10.
Plunkett is charged with use of audio and audio-visual communication to promote criminal activity.
The charge stemmed from a song that he reportedly recorded and played across media platforms, with the lyrics endorsing gang violence and paying tribute to members of the One Order gang.
He was recently named as a person of interest by the police, and after reporting to law enforcers, was charged after a question-and-answer session was held with investigators in the presence of his attorney.
The artiste is scheduled to appear in the St Catherine Parish Court later this month, the police said in a release.
