‘Bob Marley: One Love’ soundtrack wins Grammy for Best Reggae Album

The 10-song Bob Marley: One Love (Music Inspired by the Film) soundtrack emerged winner of the Best Reggae Album category of the 67tth annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.

The project, which accompanied the box office hit film of the same name, features covers of some of Marley’s better known songs such as Natural Mystic, Exodus, Waiting in Vain, Three Little Birds, One Love, Redemption Song and Is This Love.


Among the artistes featured are Marley’s grandson Skip Marley, Daniel Caesar, Kacey Mulgraves, Bloody Civilian, Wizkid, Jesse Reyez and Leon Bridges.


The project was released by Island Records last February.


The other nominees in the Best Reggae Album category were Evolution by The Wailers, Never Gets Late Here by Shenseea, Take it Easy by Collie Buddz and Party with Me by Vybz Kartel.
