Break-in at Clarendon store prompts police warning

The May Pen Police are appealing to members of the public to be on the alert for people selling electronics at discounted prices following a break-in at the local branch of a popular retail store on Sunday.

More than 400 items, including laptops, smartphones, headsets and modems were stolen from the establishment, the police report.

As detectives continue to probe the case, they are urging people to promptly report anyone seen selling or transporting a large number of electronic devices.

In addition, those guilty of knowingly purchasing stolen goods are being warned that this is a criminal and punishable offence and are being urged to desist immediately and report the culprits to the nearest police station or the police 119 emergency number.

Reports may also be made via the Stay Alert app, which is available for download free from the Google Play store.
